Welcome to Troop 156 for Boys and Girls!

Welcome to the Potawatomi Area Council Troop 156 website!

In our Troops, we want to stress the goals of LeadershipAdvancement, and Service. In an ideal Troop, the Scouts must run the show. They must grow and become good leaders. Scouting is full of leadership opportunities for every Scout. Advancement is the key to keeping the Scouts interested. The goal of First Class rank in a year can be achieved if the Scouts get a "kick start" by attending summer camp their first year and actively participating in the Troop. Throughout the year, our Troop will offer many types of service projects which are fun and give everyone a feeling of making a difference in our community. We’ve held food, book, toy, and clothing drives, help maintain the nature trail at the Middle School, run Blood Drives and many other worthwhile projects. Our 3 goals all come together when the Scout initiates and completes their own Eagle Service Project. No matter what rank your son or daughter achieves, the values and skills learned in Scouting will last a lifetime.

The Troops used to meet twice or three times a month at the Elm Grove Women’s Club in Elm Grove, WI at 7:00pm till 8:15pm Tuesdays. During COVID summer we temporarily met at Wirth Park

Camping Service Project July 14-16 Camp Awana

Posted on Jul 4 2020 - 9:34am

We have a great opportunity for Scouts of all ages to take part is a camping/service project at Camp Awanain Fredonia Wisconsin. We will be working to improve the landscape of a mini golf course. Needs include weeding / mulching, replacing green course carpet, other minor repairs.  Camping will be located next to the full sized gym with clean bathroom and shower facilities. Boxed breakfast, lunch, dinner included.  As we did at summercamp, scouts will sleep alone in there own tents and many precautions will be enforced to minimize the risk of Covid infection. Thank you to Mrs. Filber for making contact and arranging this event. Sign up on the Troop Calendar now!
